With a physical description of Saunders, Two-Gun rides into the town of Farnum Flats. There he is ambushed by some outlaws who try to rob him. However, the Kid is saved by the local sheriff, who gets the drop on them. After the gunfire stops, Two-Gun notices the sheriff walks with a limp and matches Saunders description.

Two-Gun then is invited back into town and meets the sheriffs family. They are soon interrupted by Louise who is afraid for her boyfriend Jim Hart who has local outlaw Lash McKinley after him for wanting to quit the gang and marry Louise. The sheriff explains that he wishes to help out Jim because every man needs an opportunity to redeem himself. Two-Gun agrees to help and the pair gun down Lash McKinley. With the crisis over, Two-Gun Kid explains why he came to Farnum Flats and that he knows who the sheriff really is. Having seen that the Chet Saunders has redeemed himself and given up his outlaw ways, he tells the sheriff that he is returning to the governor to tell him that Lash McKinely "AKA Limpy Saunders" was killed and leaves the real Saunders to continue living his new, law abiding life.
