Human Meteor

Duke O’Dawd and Toby are out looking for fares when there is a sudden blackout in the city. Hearing screams, Duke changes into the Human Meteor to investigate and help where he can. Soon he comes across an army of warriors on horseback led by a giant with a flaming sword claiming to be Genghis Khan. Despite the giant’s massive size, the Human Meteor easily overpowers him and takes control of the flaming sword. However, before he can use it against the Khan, his minions manage to grab Toby and take him prisoner, forcing the Human Meteor to surrender the weapon. He is then attacked by a group of Khan’s warriors, but he easily fights through them.

Trying to go after Toby, the Human Meteor is hit with a flame blast from Genghis Khan’s sword. He is then contacted by Wah Le, his ally in Tibet, who tells the Meteor that Toby will be fine and to focus on the immediate threat before rescuing the boy. In the ensuing battle, the Human Meteor fights off the Khan and his armies and tosses them into the nearby sea, rescuing Toby in the process. With a losing battle, the Khan orders a full retreat so he can plan a new assault against America.

Recurring Characters

Human Meteor, Toby, Wah Le (Voice Only), Genghis Khan

Continuity Notes

  • It seems incredibly unlikely that the giant depicted here is the real Genghis Khan somehow resurrected and made into a giant given the fact that this giant is depicted as a Caucasian man with brown hair instead of being Mongolian. Still, the idea is not impossible given that, at least at the time of this writing, it would not conflict with any other Marvel continuity.
